A dark mist falls between our paths...
is it me? or have i finally met my match...
i claimed the patch..we're gettin no closer...
drowned in doubt, i ask myself..
..why did i become a soldier?.. i ponder....
as the wisps of white hot metal flys above...
Times are tough- shown by the way bodies are lining up
We died enough; cadavers all around me dried in blood
Bullets whisk by barely missin', wearily listen
The prayer for God is drown out by bullets
Retaliate! Find the trigger- pull it.
can i reach the summit, and hold my head high...
or will i plummit.. forever- living a lie...
gaze at the sky.. nothing.. except a dark cloud...
interrupted.. by shouts.. of the dieing around...
the signs mound up, that i wont escape...
this sight of bloodshed- may never leave my face...
Speed the pace, trying desperately not to flee this place
Retreat with grace? More of a war with myself- brain is clashin'
Stomach twisted ever since I ate this ration, chest is gaspin'
Inhaling the poison, this is the end I was avoidin'
Take our last stand, in all our grandeur- "Why?" is the only matter on our mind
Never will we get an answer
Just stand here in the muddy meadow of flowers...
as the barbed hedge row towers... i cower...
a sour taste.. tryin to hide my self in my mind...
unaware of time, is it still night or just the grime... of..
..a world undefined, green for miles.. i see...
a green gas enters my lungs.. until...
my soul's the only remaining part of me..
