i personally enjoy the extensions, shit happens, i personally have a hectic weekend schedule, i never know when my free time is going to be, sometimes i need some extra time strictly because i had none up until the last minute, so i end up leaking into the next day an hr or 2
we are all pretty sincere in it too i believe, for the most part, and its a matter of common courtesy, if someone needs a little extra time, let em have it, its not about getting a W in your record, its about having some good competition and developing as a writer, the battles themselves are more for incentive than anything, as long as there is no abuse, who cares, i think Brandon is smart enough to recognize someone who is just abusing it vs someone who genuinely needs the extra time

real talk, there are very few people who are conventionally that original - there are plenty of people who can write with inners and multis and slant rhymes and all the buzzworthy fashions of SS. Content separates people (and to a lesser extent, how the mechanics are used, but again, there doesn't seem to be a lot of wiggle room in the context of writing a verse).
