because youll have more time to edit your verse.. and posting early gives something people only one thing to read, so if the piece is dependent on OR just has elemets like shock value/plot twists/or clever lines that lose their luster a bit after the first read through then you could get screwed in the votes when people re-read your piece for the fifth time. its happened to me tbh
