I have a decent mic and it picks up every little things. It's dope but really needs an isolated area to record. Anyone have any cheap tips and tricks? Do egg cartons really stop reverberation?

who knows about egg cartons, im sure they do though. Record in your closet, close the doors and isolate the inside with clothes and blankets.

i use bed foam, and thick blankets on the walls where i record and it def does help
