yes... but its a little deeper than just emotional neediness. more like psychological brainwashing. if you equate abuse to torture... the more someone is 'tortured' on and off with being praised / loved... the more their brains get thrown out of whack and the less they are able to see the situation from a stable mental state. the longer it happens, the more they accept it, are convinced they deserve it, and believe they have no other option but to stay.

theres been a ton of experiments and studies on it... you can sometimes find the same thing in prisoners, kidnap victims, even experimental cases with animals.

alot of er injuries look like frontal injuries too... swollen nose, and fat lips... looks like she caught something head on. Cuz er entire face is swollen and busted.... you can see it if you compare features on the pic i provided.
