UFC mention in the set up links with the Paddy Pimblett punch ok but the Maddie reference in between sends it off track a bit.
The thing I'm not keen on with the comparison in the punch is that "fat" means the same in both scenarios IE fat face & fat paddy. This kind of bar works better with a double meaning. Just to give an example of what I mean: Since you're English you'll know the sayings "blacker than the fire back" & "more chins than a Chinese phone book" - black has the same meaning in both contexts which is the colour, similar to how your bar was. Chin means the body part in one context and a surname in the other. I'm guessing the human brain's reward pathways are somehow stimulated by 2 separate things becoming logically linked, which would explain why wordplay doesn't hit the same when it's been heard before as the 2 meanings would already have been linked by the brain. I'd like to say how I think the brain has evolved to be like this but I appreciate you've probably already got bored so I'll stop.
