Thank you for tagging me!! Aww oats... that was a great read. Easy to relate to as I've only recently become a professional soccer fan as well in the past few years (it's huge here so it was only a matter of time). This was the first year I really got into the World Cup and found myself getting somewhat emotional at the start and end of some of the games. It's not even the actual gameplay itself... it's the passion, the pride, the dedication. I was in Puerto Rico watching Brazil play Colombia, drunk at a bar and tearing up while they sung their national anthems at the start of the game. lol. It was great.
Congrats on your engagement... can't even imagine how amazing that must have been! Perfect setting.
Hopefully 2018 is just as magical (and hopefully Russia learned from Sochi!)
I'm just excited everyone can stop pretending like they give a fuck about soccer.
